This purified mouse anti-Phosphoglycerate K monoclonal antibody (mAb) recognizes yeast phosphoglycerate kinase. Phosphoglycerate Kinase (3-Phosphoglyceric Phosphokinase, EC 2.7.2.3) is a soluble protein of the yeast cytoplasm. The Phosphoglycerate Kinase mAb can be used to detect native, denatured, and fixed Phosphoglycerate Kinase. Mouse anti-Phosphoglycerate Kinase mAb is validated for use in applications such as western blotting and immunocytochemistry.

Antibody Specifications:

PGK (3-Phosphoglyceric Phosphokinase, EC 2.7.2.3) is a soluble protein of the yeast cytoplasm. This antibody can be used to detect native, denatured, and fixed PGK. The antibody can be used to visualize the yeast cytoplasm by immunohistochemistry: the nucleus and other organelles exclude staining. Also, since PGK is an abundant fully soluble protein that does not sediment at 200,000 x g, the assessment of the presence or absence of this protein can provide a critical test for cytoplasmic protein contamination of inappropriate subcellular fractions.
