The SOLiD™ Library TaqMan® Quantitation Kit provides a complete qPCR solution to determine the appropriate amount of library to input into emulsion PCR for all library types. The SOLiD™ Library TaqMan® Quantitation Kit includes a custom TaqMan® Assay designed for SOLiD™ library adaptors, an optimized SOLiD™ Library Amplification mix tested across Applied Biosystems qPCR instruments (AB 7300, 7900HT, StepOne™, StepOnePlus™, PRISM® 7000 and 7700, and AB 7500), and an adapted SOLiD™ library control of a defined sized constructed using the SOLiD™ 2x25 Mate Paired Library Construction method to yield an adapted library ~155bp in size. The SOLiD™ Library TaqMan® Quantitation Kit has been validated for quantification of SOLiD™ Fragment Libraries, Short and Long Mate-Paired Libraries, Whole Transcriptome Libraries, Short RNA Libraries, ChIP Librarires and SAGE Libraries. The SOLiD™ Library control included in the kit is recommended for use only as a qPCR control and not a sequence control.
The SOLiD™ Library TaqMan® Quantitation Kit offers the following advantages:
• The TaqMan® Assay provides more specificity and accuracy in detecting properly adapted, amplifiable templates over non-probe-based quantitation methods.
• The validated, ready-to-use qPCR standard requires only a simple serial dilution for use in qPCR. It can also be used to determine the optimal concentration of template to use in ePCR.
• The highly robust qPCR mix can accommodate a wide range of cycling conditions and reaction volumes, and combines highly sensitive detection with a broad quantification range.
• qPCR based methods use less material for quantification
