The Applied Biosystems® GeneAmp® Gold RNA PCR Core Kit has been optimized to combine reverse transcription using MultiScribe™ Reverse Transcriptase, with highly sensitive and specific amplification using AmpliTaq Gold® DNA Polymerase.

One-Step PCR
AmpliTaqGold® DNA Polymerase introduces automatic hot-start to RNA PCR. This kit is specifically designed to perform one-step RNA PCR. It also has the capability to perform two-step RNA PCR better than other available kits.

Improved Performance
The GeneAmp® Gold RNA PCR Core Kit allows expression of multiple targets in the same reaction (multiplexing). It also simplifies the use of random hexamers and oligonucleotides(T) from a long and complicated two-step reaction to one easy step. This kit can be used to produce cDNAs up to a length of 5 kb, and can generate products from as few as 500 copies of known starting material. The GeneAmp® Gold RNA PCR Core Kit contains all the necessary reagents for 100 RNA PCR amplifications. Also available is the GeneAmp® Gold RNA PCR Reagent Kit, which contains the core and a control kit containing control RNA and control primers.
