This purified mouse anti-PTB monoclonal antibody is specific to human, mouse and rat PTB. Anti-PTB monoclonal antibody recognizes the expressed product of the PTBP1 gene. Anti-PTB monoclonal antibody is used in western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation (native) applications.
• Applications: Validated applications for anti-PTB monoclonal antibody are western blotting, immunofluorescence, and immunoprecipitation (native). • Host Species and Isotype: The host species and isotype of the anti-PTB monoclonal antibody is mouse IgG1. • Clone ID of Monoclonal Antibody (mAb): The anti-PTB monoclonal antibody clone is 1. • Reactivity: Reacts with human, mouse and rat PTB protein. • Product Size: Mouse anti-PTB monoclonal antibody is available in a 100 µg size.
The perinucleolar compartment (PNC) is a structure localized at the periphery of the nucleolus. Thus far the PTB (polypyrimidine tract binding protein) as well as small RNAs (i.e. Y RNA's, MRP RNA, and RNase P H1 RNA) have been identified in the PNC. Studies conducted to characterize the structure of the PNC, revealed that RNA binding may be required for PTB to be localized in the PNC.
Mouse anti-PTB monoclonal antibody reacts with the C-terminus of the human and rodent PTB protein. Mouse anti-PTB monoclonal antibody is confirmed reactive with human, mouse and rat. Reactivity with other species has not been tested.
