Hydrophobic Dynabeads®, 2.8 µm in diameter, with p-toluene-sulfonyl (tosyl) groups. The surface tosyl groups allow direct covalent binding of antibodies, proteins⁄peptides and other ligands via primary amino- or sulphydryl groups. No further surface activation required. Coupling occurs overnight at neutral to high pH and 37 C. Allows easy coupling of antibodies with optimal orientation for affinity purification of proteins or other antigens.

The product is widely used as a solid phase in immunoassays and automated protocols where high throughput is crucial. The combination of specific antigens or antibodies and the superparamagnetic properties of the beads provide rapid reaction kinetics both in the coating process, separation and during washing of the analyte.
