Compared to trypsin and other dissociation reagents, Gibco® TrypLE™ Express is:
- Gentle on cells—maintains cell health for reproducible results
- Room-temperature stable—convenient to use
- Easy to use—substitutes directly into existing protocols, with no inactivation required
- Animal origin free (AOF) —pure, consistent, and effective
This TrypLE™ Express is modified as follows:
With
• Phenol Red
• EDTA
The formulation of TrypLE™ solutions is available, although we keep the enzyme concentration confidential.
TrypLE™ Express, like trypsin, cleaves peptide bonds on the C-terminal sides of lysine and arginine. However, TrypLE™ Express' exceptional purity increases specificity due to the action of a single enzyme. This reduces damage caused by cleavage from multiple enzymes in trypsin and other extracts.
Room-temperature stable
TrypLE™ Express is room-temperature stable and ready to use. TrypLE™ Express cell dissociation reagents remain stable for 24 months at room temperature or 2–8°C, making storage and handling easy and convenient.
Easy to use
TrypLE™ Express can be substituted for trypsin in existing protocols. In addition, dilution alone inactivates TrypLE™ Express, avoiding the need for trypsin inhibitors, such as FBS.
Animal Origin Free (AOF)
Unlike porcine trypsin and other enzymes, TrypLE™ Express is free of animal-derived components.
Product Use
For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures.
