Dynabeads® CD3 are magnetic beads that provide a robust and versatile tool to isolate or deplete human CD3⁺ T-cells directly from any sample, including whole blood, bone marrow, buffy coat, mononuclear cells (MNC), and tissue digests.

Excellent Yield, Purity, and Viability of Recovered Cells
Dynabeads® CD3 are uniform, superparamagnetic beads (4.5 µm diameter) that enable easy isolation of human CD3⁺ cells directly from any sample. They can also be used for short-term activation of both CD4⁺ and CD8⁺ T cells, although we recommend using Dynabeads® Human T-Activator product for this application. Dynabeads® CD3 beads are coated with a primary monoclonal antibody specific for the CD3 membrane antigen mainly expressed on human T cells. Dynabeads® CD3 bind to CD3⁺ cells during a short incubation period in a tube, after which the bead-bound cells are separated from unbound cells using a magnet. This fast and gentle isolation method does not require the use of columns, and helps ensure high purity, recovery and viability of the isolated CD3⁺ cells.

Ideal for Both Depletion and Positive Isolation for Downstream Molecular Assays
Because of the powerful magnets used for separation, Dynabeads® CD3 can be used in viscous samples such as whole blood and bone marrow, thereby providing a convenient method for the depletion of CD3⁺ cells by up to 99% in about 30 minutes. Dynabeads® CD3 will also afford excellent recovery of high-purity, viable cells for use in downstream molecular studies; for example, those in which cells are to be lysed while still attached to beads, and nucleic acids or proteins further purified. Note that intact cells will not be released from these beads, so if you want to isolate CD3⁺ cells for cell-based applications, or you need to check your samples with flow cytometry, use Dynabeads® FlowComp™ Human CD3 (for bead-free cells) or Dynabeads® Untouched™ Human T Cells to obtain untouched T cells.
