The 10 bp DNA Ladder is suitable for sizing double-stranded DNA or single-stranded DNA from 10 bp to 330 bp. It consists of 33 ten-base pair repeats. The double-stranded DNA ladder can be visualized on 4% to 5% agarose gels (for 10 bp to 150 bp fragments), 2% to 3% agarose gels (for 150 bp to 330 bp fragments), 2% to 3% Agarose 1000, or 6% to 10% polyacrylamide gels after ethidium bromide staining. The single-stranded ladder can be visualized on a 6% urea-polyacrylamide gel after electrophoresis. For easy reference on agarose gels, the 100 bp band is two- to threetimes brighter than the other bands in the ladder. This ladder can be stained with ethidium bromide or SYBR® Green or radiolabeled using T4 polynucleotide kinase.
