Insulin-like growth factor binding protein 3 (IGFBP3), recombinant human protein is supplied as a lyophilized powder. In general, recombinant proteins are suitable for use in studying protein-protein interactions, as a protein standard, or in cell biology research applications.

This recombinant protein was expressed from a DNA sequence encoding the mature form of human IGFBP3 (NP_000589.2), residues 28 to 291), fused to a polyhistidine tag at the N-terminus.

Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA.
1. Immobilized human IGF2 at 10 µg/ml(100 µl/well) can biotinylated human IGFBP3-His. The ED₅₀ of can biotinylated human IGFBP3-His is 18 ng/ml. 2. Immobilized human IGF1 at 10 µg/ml(100 µl/well) can biotinylated human IGFBP3-His. The ED₅₀ of can biotinylated human IGFBP3-His is 24 ng/ml.

Formulation: Lyophilized in PBS, pH 7.4, 5% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, and 0.02% Tween 80.

Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 0.2 mg/ml or lower. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and be used as soon as possible. Store aliquots under sterile conditions at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Expiration Date: Expires one year from date of receipt when stored as instructed.
