Cluster of Differentiation 4 (CD4), recombinant human protein is supplied as a lyophilized powder. It is suitable for use in studying protein-protein interactions, and cell biology research applications. It can also be used as a protein standard.

This recombinant protein was expressed from a DNA sequence encoding extracellular domain (Met 1-Trp 390) of human CD4 (NP_000607.1) fused to the polyhistidine-tagged Fc region of human IgG1 at the C-terminus.

Activity: Measured by its binding ability in a functional ELISA. Immobilized human CD4-His at 2 µg/well can bind biotinylated HIV-1 GP120 with a linear range of 0.078-1.25 µg/ml.

Formulation: Lyophilized in PBS, pH7.4, 5% Mannitol, 5% Trehalose, and 0.02% Tween-80.

Reconstitution: Dissolve the protein in sterile double distilled water to a concentration of 25 mg/ml or lower. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted and be used as soon as possible. Store aliquots under sterile conditions at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Expiration Date: Expires one year from date of receipt when stored as instructed.
